Lauriel Luther Professional Horse Trainer

Lauriel firmly believes that your relationship with your horse should be an enjoyable one. She also believes that your training experience should be educational, progressive, and fun.

Using John Lyons’ conditioned response training method, Lauriel trains horses and works with horse owners so that they understand the training methods and are able to continue their horse’s training. This is done in the format of:

Lauriel is also available for training demonstrations and to work with your horse club or organization.

Evaluation:

Lauriel will work with you to understand your goals and evaluate your horse’s current level of training. She will then provide you with a training lesson plan for you and your horse based on your specific goals.

At Windrush Ranch, Lone Mountain Ranch, or your facility:

$50 per horse

Individual Lessons

One on one instruction with Lauriel. Lauriel will work with you to teach you theLyons’ methods so that you can continue your horse’s education.

* For longer distances, rates may be slightly higher, lodging may apply.

Workshops:

In a group setting you will learn how to use John Lyons’ training methods through lectures, demonstrations, written material and practical application. This series is designed as an on-going project, after each session the participants will be given training homework to do with their horses until the following session. Each participant will have their own scheduled riding time with Lauriel and are welcome for the whole day to observe other participants sessions.

At Windrush Ranch or your facility (minimum of 4 participants per series):

Clinics

All participants work with their horses and clinician for the entire clinic.

At Windrush Ranch - two trainers, no more than 15 participants:

3-Day $300/person

* Does not include meals or lodging

At your facility - one trainer, no more than 5 riding participants:

1-Day $500/clinic plus trainer’s lodging, as necessary

3-Day $1500/clinic plus trainer’s lodging, as necessary

5-Day $2500/clinic plus trainer’s lodging, as necessary

Auditors $30/day

Horse Training

At Windrush Ranch (rate does not include horse’s board):

$250/week

Trailer Loading -- Training:

Lauriel will teach your horse to self-load consistently. If training takes less than 4 hours, then hourly rate will apply.

At your facility:

$250/horse plus trainer’s lodging, as necessary

Pre-Purchase Evaluation:

This is an evaluation of your prospect horse’s temperament and training.

At Windrush Ranch:

$200/horse

At your facility:

Demonstrations:

Lectures:
