About Lauriel

Lauriel Luther began her love affair with horses as a child, while posing for a picture on top of a black and white Pinto pony. She owned her first pony when she was in the third grade, and has been around horses ever since. She has mostly been a pleasure trail rider, and has studied reining and dressage.

Lauriel’s desire to gain an understanding of different training methods lead her to Jean Franzmeier, a John Lyons SELECT Trainer in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Lauriel found John’s methods to be kind to the horse, astounding in their results, and applicable to any age of horse, breed of horse, and discipline of riding.

Lauriel began studying John’s methods under Jean's supervision in 2001. In 2003 Lauriel decided to become a John Lyons Certified Horse Trainer so that she could teach others John’s wonderful methods. She graduated from the rigorous 7-month program in October of 2003.

In February of 2004 Lauriel was invited into John’s SELECT Trainer group. This was a significant achievement for Lauriel, as this program is intended only for those individuals whom John believes have achieved the highest standards and excelled with his training methods throughout his entire Certification Program. SELECT trainers are presented as trusted, reliable, professional horse trainers, and have John's name and reputation behind their training. Lauriel is proud to be a part of this special group of trainers.
